Tyler recently competed in his junior high school 1st annual dodge ball tournament. There were about 20 teams that competed. After some tough competition, team Blackout won the tournament.

This last weekend My friend Andrea created a fun get-a-way down to Portland, Oregon to see the musical wicked. Wicked is my favorite musical of all time. The weekend included staying in a cute rental house, shopping, games, making jewelry and lots and lots of eating out. It was an awesome weekend thanks to our host(she's our Martha Stewart).

Before we split into different cars, Andrea gave us all a gift bag with "Wicked" treats in it for the ride.

At the end of our trip, Andrea gave everyone a plaque with the line "Because I knew you..I have been changed for the good" That's a line from one of the songs in Wicked.

Emily's Jump Rope Contest

Emily went to a regional Jump Rope Invitational with teams coming as far as Canada to compete. Emily won third place in her age division at the speed jump competition. She got 200 jumps in one minute. You should try this at home, it's rather difficult.

Jacobs first day of scouts

I think Jacob was more excited about being a cub scout than anything else in his entire life. He started counting down about 6 months before his birthday. After being in scouts for almost two months now, he still gets excited every Wednesday.

So, yesterday Jordan went on what I would consider her first "real" one on one date. She went with Kenny who is a friend from church. He is a nice boy and I think they had fun. We borrowed some photography studio lighting from a friend and set it up. It looked really cool but my camera started freaking out. I don't know what was up. I think it was having a hard time with the black sheet we hung up, it must have thought it was night because the shutter speed went really slow. Eventually we figured it out but the kids were long gone by then. Anyway, I've posted a few of the pictures that we salvaged.

Trip To Utah

Okay, so I'm still pretty new at this blogging thing. I guess in order to make it interesting I'll have to update it more than once a month.
Over Presidents Day weekend, Jordan and I were able to fly out to Utah and go shopping. This was such a fun trip for both of us. I was able to visit with my mom who flew up from St. George to shop with us, and Jordan was able to visit with her childhood friends.

Play List

I recently added a Play List to my blog which includes songs from my favorite movies and musicals. The 1st is from Twilight, the 2nd Wedding singer, the 3rd Wicked...the best musical ever, and the last song is from 50 first dates.

Great Wolf Lodge

This year Jacob wanted to go to Great Wolf lodge for his Birthday. The lodge is a giant hotel with an indoor water park. It also features an arcade, a magi quest game, a teen center and much more.

Jacob's Birthday

Jacob had a great time opening his presents and eating cake. He got Brand new scriptures with his name on them and a load of cash from the Grandparents. Don't pay too much attention to the cake, someone(Jordan) was holding the cake on our drive and fell asleep, all the frosting slipped off the cake.

The Boys Playing MagiQuest

MagiQuest is an interactive game at the hotel where they use wands to complete quests and accumulate powers to advance to higher levels and eventually get to fight the Dragon.

Emily at the Water Park

Emily is like a fish, you can't ever get her out of the water. This time at Great Wolf lodge, we had some friends go with us. All of the kids had someone their age to play with. Emily and Andrea were in the water all day.

Teen Center

Jordan and Tyler spent a lot of time hanging out in the g8 space Tech Center for teens. The Center offers computer access, multiple gaming stations and nightly events like guitar hero and karaoke. I'm starting to sound like a Promo for the Hotel
